As the eldest of four sisters growing up on a farm in Suffolk, Emily knows what inspires women's love of jewellery. Over the years she found it difficult to find beautiful and affordable gemstone jewellery that would suit each of her sisters and could be worn in different ways on different occasions.

Following her passion for jewellery and design, Emily trained at Sir John Cass School of Art before consolidating her precious gemstone expertise with a Gemmological Association qualification.

Emily has been working in the jewellery industry in London for over 7 years, giving her the inspiration and experience to turn her dreams of designing her own jewellery into a reality. A jewellery addict, Emily wanted to create a range of fun and beautiful statement pieces that are versatile and exciting to wear.

The real turning point came in 2014, when her now-husband flew back from Afghanistan to propose with an Indian diamond ring that had belonged to his great grandmother. Struck by the intricate beauty of the stone and the story behind it, Emily knew it was finally time to pursue her dreams.

Emily flew out to India in April 2015 to begin this journey. On her travels through the stunning country, as if by chance, she came across an incredible semi-precious stone and diamond workshop that was ethically run, too. That is where the idea of Emily Mortimer Jewellery became a reality.

Today Emily designs from her studio in Suffolk. Her pieces are made in both 14ct gold and sterling silver and are set with a multitude of different colour semi precious gemstones and diamonds.

'Emily Mortimer Jewellery is made for wearing. Whether you add a gold cuff for the beach, a cocktail ring during the day, or an incredible pair of earrings for the evening, it will make a statement.' EM x
